  • 225/40/18 ????

    Will these be ok on my car. I was told that 235's should be used. I have my car lowered with GFX and don't want a huge gap. my rims is a 18*9 but 225's are all I can afford right now since they are on sale.

    I think the profile of the tire would be too small and your speedo would be off. I would use either a 245/40/18 or a 275/35/18. These sizes would give you the correct speedo reading and would look great.

      will 225 even fit on a 9" wide rim?
      if i am not mistaking ,then no...
      if they do they won't look right... they will look too small.... just save up some mo money and get ATLEAST 245 or 255

        damn that sucks ok I found some 245/40/18's for $124.00 a peice they are Nankang brand anything cheaper out there??

          see what ya get...
          i just did that search for ya and i got..

          Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 (in 245) $128each
          those i've heard are EXCELLANT tires... i actually bought a set for my car, and got them in the mail yesterday, (for my new 17" rims)

          everything under the 255, were quite expensive...

          shipping at tirerack is only $50 for 2day mail...
