I finally got some snow tires. 215/60R16 Dunlop Graspic DS3's. I just wanted to say that they are amazing. Not that I would have any other snow tires to compare them to, but against other all season tires there's no comparison.
I was actually passing front wheel drive cars. I couldn't f'n believe it. I could go 35-40mph in unplowed streets and felt fine. However, I still kept it from something like 30-35. But I never got stuck once. I could stop absolutely fine and then go again with no problems.
I was on the way to work and in front of me was a lincoln continental and we were just getting off the highway. There was apparently ice on the off ramp because, this guy slid into the guard rail right in front of me. I debated on stopping to ask if he/she was ok but it was only a couple little bumps that maybe gave it a little dent and f'd the paint. The thing is, I didn't slide one bit. I also don't panic and lock my brakes up either.. Anyways, I'm just really really happy with my purchase and I highly recommend them.
