Sport Steering 14.4:1 ratio Can this be installed?

If i was to buy a camaro without this option, how hard would it be to install it or have it installed? Is it worth getting? Thanx

I wondered it too, I know it can be done. but I have heard different things about some years it was standard and some years it was only on Y87 cars.

any more word on which has which?

This is the standard ratio on the Z28 cars...as far as I'm aware only the Y87 package had this on the V6's...it's easy to swap out but having both Y87 and normal V6 cars, it isn't worth the time and money...unless you're going to road race your car and then the slightly quicker ratio is of some benefit...rp

I have heard that to but for some reason I think I heard some the newer v6 years like 99+ or 00+ had it.

Thank you for the tip. How do you know if you have the 14.4 steering...is there anyway to tell?
