i'm looking for a good lowering suspension set that looks nice (around 1" drop), rides nice (nicer than stock), and is relatively cheap in price. thx.

eibach 1" lowering springs, koni adjustables, BMR stb, and weld-on sfc's. the stb and sfc's will make the car ride smoother, the eibach's are well known and reliable, and the koni's can control the springs better than the stock shocks can.

For a mild drop consider the springs from SLP, theyre 0.75-1" in drop and won't cause any issues associated with "drop springs"

A good shock for these mild springs is the Bilstein HD or 1LE deCarbon (part numbers for the deCarbon are in the database and on my website). You don't need Koni shocks unless you plan on racing and intend on winning - they're overkill for most applications.

I recommend 1LE 32/21 swaybars, or even a 35/21 swaybar combination - they'll really help the roll control and won't add any stiffness to your ride.

STB/SFCs are a great choice, I have an STB and noticed its effects right away. Good cheap worthwhile mod for our cars - it helped my ride quality in fact.

The only other spring I would consider would be the BMR drop spring which is slightly stiffer, but lowers you a little further (exactly 1") and is only $175/set right now.

so you have to get the swaybars if you lower your car, or can you keep the stock sway bars?

you can keep the stock swaybars and still lower the car. Sometimes new springs can cause more bodyroll than the stock ones, so guys like to get bigger swaybars, just to be sure they will still be able to take sharp corners quickly.

you'll be fine running stock swaybars. Going with drop/stiffer springs will decrease body roll by themselves so you don't NEED new swaybars at all. However for even more roll stiffness by all means change them out and do some experimenting!

I'm looking at maybe the same setup, but a little stiffer with nearly the same ride quality and be able to get traction when i drag race every once in awhile. Can anyone give me some ideas?
