Right rear shock went the other day, so i decided to give myself a gift and i bought a set of bilsteins. how hard is this going to be to isntall? only the rear that is, b/c i have a mechanic doing the fronts for me. how exactly do i change them, i mean i know all teh basic stuff, but is there any special way to jack everything up and stuff, i dont want the springs pulled, so anyone with instructions would be much appreciated.

Where in Ohio are you? I am doing the very same thing. I'm having the fronts done and I am going to install the rears myself. I think from what I've read it's easy. This should give you all you need to know, just leave the springs in...that's what I'm doing.

I would say that you shouldn't waste the money to have a mechanic do the fronts. They're not that hard, just time consuming. The only special tool you'll need is a spring compressor, and you can rent one for free.
But, if you absolutely insist on having the fronts done elsewhere, just jack up the rear end like usual and support the car on jackstands on the frame of the car. Then, to keep the rear end from falling, support it by putting something under the differential, preferably a floor jack. Unbolt the rear shocks underneath the car and at the point behind the rear seats, they'll come right out and you can replace them. Shouldn't take you any more than a half hour from start to finish.Tom
Too many mods for this sig.
My car\'s site

www.FullThrottleV6.com
