    I know theres a way to calculate it form the numbers but I dont know how, and a yardstick isnt exactly the best way to do it anyways...anyone?

    sidewalls = 245mm X.50 X 2 sidewalls / 25.4mm per inch
    wheel = 16 inches

        25.6 inches. I was trying to let you see how to do it so you could do a different size if you wanted to.

            And if you're lazy, tirerack carries the spec on all tires in P245/50R16

            They *should* be 25.75" tall if they're theoretically perfect, but it varies a little per tire.

                Serious question - not trying to nitpick or start an argument.

                I get 25.65 inches theoretically, with the formula I posted above. Am I doing something wrong?
