Have anyone upgrade they brakes to corvette front rotors and calipers??
What difference was made to the feel of the Pedal?
Is there any write up on it and photo shots?

I am seriously going that route, just wanted to get as much info as possible.

What year is your car? It's harder to do on 97' and earlier cars. I will be doing this mod in the summer.

Are you really in Barbados? Maybe I will see you around in a couple weeks :)

I think Firebird GT did this mod. Don't quote me on this but I think you need to upgrade to 98 and up spindles first for the calipers to bolt up.

Yes - bolt-on with 98+ spindles. Parts list is on my personal site.

I don't know what kind of driving you're planning on doing, but I personally found the upgrade to the 98+ LS1 front brakes to be a significant improvement in pedal feel and braking force. It's also cheaper, especially since you'll have to upgrade first to the 98+ spindles before upgrading to the C5 brakes.

You don't HAVE to upgrade to 98+ spindles.

You can just cut your stock spindles.

i agree.. for a street car, or drag car, i think the stock 98+ brakes do fine.

LOL - that's the point! Only they are forged instead of cast. Bolt right on in place of the 98+ CALIPER. Everything else is F-body parts.

Oh, and they are smaller pistons so they add bias to the rear calipers (rears grab more).

And use an aftermarket bracket, but that is when you also use the C5 rotors - which I do not.

You're missing the brackets that space the C5 calipers properly from the F-body spindles. Go to frrax.com (F-body road racing and autocross forums) and search for "trackbrackets"

You don't need the brackets unless you intend to use the 13" C5 rotors. C5 calipers can be installed in place of the 98+ F-body caliper directly if using the F-body 11.9" rotor.
