I got new 245/50ZR-16's. What's the proper tire inflation recommended? Discount tire put them 36 psi. What I know for 235's or less is 30 psi.

I usually put mine at 35 PSI. So they were close. Side of the tire will have max of like 40-44 PSI.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

yes the number on the side of the tire is the max psi that tire can handle. the number on the inside of the drivers door is the proper psi for your car. i run my 245 wide tires at 40psi to help the side wall a bit cause i enjoy taking the corners faster than i really need to.

It will be worse when they warm up, and your also going to replacing your tires much sooner. All your doing is bulging out the center of your tread.:slap: I guarantee if you lower the psi your car will grip better.
