anyone have summit rotors that can give some feedback if they are good or not. everything summit brand i've ever bought never let me down but always best to check before buying...
The guys over at ls1tech have a pretty good deal in the sponsor deals area for some inexpensive rotors + pads. Looks like those who have purchased have been pretty happy with them.
nope. but i figure a shop will charge about an hour of labor @ 90 dollars an hr. to turn and resurface the rotors so might be better off using that money to get new ones...haven't decided yet. may take it up to car x and have them do a free brake inspection..

Ls1tech has a sponsor deal going over there for rotors + pads at $165 shipped that most of the guys over there seem to be happy with. I ordered up a pair yesterday (slotted only) to replace my current warped stock ones.
Slotted/Drilled is pretty pointless on a street driven car. Most companies don't chamfer the slots and holes which leads to excessive pad wear. I'd most recommend these:
Brembo blanks have always treated me well. If you want really good brakes, replace yours with C5 brakes (C5 Z06 brakes are no different than regular C5's) and run braided steel lines. I'd still recommend Brembo blanks in that application as well along with a GOOD street pad.

I agree after having D/S rotors , they look good , but blanks have more stopping power.

If you have nice wheels, the drilled and slotted look a lot better. The difference isnt very noticeable. You would be please with drilled and slotted. You will receive compliments and you will earn points at shows. aaaand females are more attracted by appearance.
i have the summit brand d/s rotors front and rear. they look alot better and work great. i even autocross in them and they stop fine. if they have held up to my abuse they will be fine for street use
