I agree, I've done alot of reading myself and the 19mm rear seems like it would be the way to go. Just one question to everybody.. where would I find a 1LE 19mm rear? The part # in the mod encylopedia is for the 21, as well is the front & rear kit on lmperformance.com. Just wondering.. Thanks

Ok thanks, I was thinking that would be the answer but didn't want to accept it - White \'99 V6 Camaro (M5, 3.23s)
- 3\" Borla Exaust, RK Sport Induction Lid, Fast Toys Ram Air, K&N Air Filter, !Silencer, !MAF Screen, B&M Short shifter, Manual Fan Switch, 160° Hypertech Powerstat, BMR Boxed LCAs(rubber/poly), BMR STB
*My Cardomain Website*

"As far as I know there isn't a 19mm 1le, I believe that the 1le was only 21mm"
Actually that's not the case. The 21 was only used on a very few '93 1LEs. Every 1LE from 94 on was a 19. Calling the 21 "1LE" is just marketing by the guys who want to sell them.
But the 1LE 19 is just the same 19 that's used on every V8. In other words the 1LE package from 94 on didn't mess with the rear bar.
There's a reason for that :D . More to come :D .
"But it is more difficult than I thought to track one of these 19mm bars down, I can't even find myslelf a part number."
It's the bar used on virtually every 4th gen V8.
"I will have to support dom and v6bob, on this, I have done lots of research on this board and other boards, these guys know their ****."
Thank you. Now that I've gotten this far, I can say what I really think, and hopefully not get ridiculed. I've never said use the 19, only "smaller than 21". The 32/19s are the bars of choice by most of the fast guys for V8s.
Which leads me to believe that for V6s (softer front springs, rearward weight distribution) with a 32 front bar, the hot setup for a rear bar _might_ be a 17. I'm nowhere near as sure about this as I am that the 21 is just wrong.
But, if you're following this discussion a 17 would be a safer choice than a 19, particularly for a 98-02 V6 with a stock springs and a 32 front bar.
"Stock it is a 28mm front, and 15mm rear. If you got to a 32mm/19mm upgrade, then that is an even 4mm increase in front and back. That will keep the understeer/oversteer ratio closer to stock."
But, on the front the increase in stiffness is about 70%. On the back it's 350%. Would that unbalance the car?
I don't know. But it takes a 4mm change on the front to actually equal the stiffness change of going only 2mm larger on the rear.

There is only a 21mm 1le rear sway bar...but since I have a V6 Coupe here is what i did....
32 mm 1LE swaybar with poly bushings in front 4.99 + Shipping
19 MM swaybar with poly bushings for the rear
20.00 Off Camarov6
Took off the stock V6 decarbon shock and installed Decarbons from a 02 WS6. There is a difference. the rear shocks are thicker and the valving is stiffer. The shocks cost me 25.00 from Camarov6
I spent 3.99 for what I was told was 1LE lower control arms...they are not. Still looking.
BMR 2 Point STB 60.00
Just takes alittle time and homework and you should have no problem with an upgraded suspension for your car.

Torch the springs and remove the shocks, very cheap, and very noticable :D J/K
To dogpile onto everybody else here, you definitely don't want to go too stiff on the rear. I had the 1LE rear springs w/ the 21mm bar, and the rear end would jump around all over the place whenever I hit any bumps. It was too stiff. You really want to keep the rear end pretty soft, so a 17mm or 19mm rear bar would be good with the stock rear springs.
And don't let anybody sell you 98+ V8 rear springs, they're the same for V6s and V8s. However, the fronts are stiffer on the V8s, and you can generally get those pretty cheap (around $25), they're not a lot stiffer, but definitely better than the stockers. As matter of fact, I'll have a set available here shortly, so if you want to do that, e-mail me.

the strut tower brace will eliminte the loose front end, the sway bars will eliminate the body roll on corners. the sub frame conectors will eliminate flex(like having a solid steel plate as the floor), the the LCA and PHR are great for launches, shocks and spring are a must. stock V6 are more for crusing and are not realy upto the job if you want to go out there and have fun. I did all of the above on my ride, and I love the way my car rides, like it is on rails.
