i went and test drove a WS6 the other day and it made me realize not only how slow my car is but also how much my steering ratio sucks. have to turn it so much to turn such little.
has anyone changed their steering ratio? i know the Y87s have a different ratio then the regular firebirds... just curious.
I havn't but I'm very interested in how hard/expensive doing the swap would be. I absolutely hate the steering ratio of our cars. Even crappy foreign cars turn better :mad:

All you need is the steering rack. They go for about $100.
It's not THAT hard to install.. a tricky thing to do though just because of its location.
FYI, the steering rack is the long linkeage that sits on the k-member and connects both wheels. its a long silver tube like thing that has a few lines that come out of it and go to the power steering pump.
The steering linkeage connects the steering column to the steering racks pinion.
