brake problems

Lately I've had to press down the brake pedal more to stop the car, so I decided to change out the pads thinking they were probably almost gone. Took the front pads off and they all seem to have plenty of brake left except for the p/s. One pad is really worn out and the other one has planty left, should I be concerned about this?
The last time I changed out the pads was about 45k miles ago with new rotors. Should I just throw on the new pads and get the rotors turned or do I have bigger problems? Its a 2000 Firebird with 138k miles.

u need to lubricate the floating system on the calipers. all u need to do is remove the 2 stud looking things the caliper glides on and wipe them off from the old grease and fill it up with new grease. i would recommend installing new pads.

just remove that pin and lube it with high temp grease.

Now the problem is taking those studs off. Got one out easily and the other is stuck in there.

they have to glide in and out easy. it must not have a drop of grease in it.

No they wont budge, should I just replace the brackets with new studs? Autozone carries them.

If you cannot get the slide out, then yeah, but if you can manage to get it out of the bracket you may only need a new slide. I just had to do this recently on my car too. A slide that autozone gave me wasn't manufactured right and the threading was offset a little so the caliper couldn't slide well. Make sure your caliper and bracket can slide well before you put everything back together.
