what would be the best rim size between 17" and 18" rims...as far as suspension goes with lowering my camaro...would 18's cause any problems??? the only downside I see with 18's it that where I live the tires are a lot more expensive, cause no one has them, so we have to have them shipped to the shops...any experiences, or opinions would be greatly appreciated

I have 18s and personally I think they look much better and stand out way more than 17s. However the thing about tires is true. I only have 3k miles on my tires so hopefully they will last me another season. YOu shouldn't have any problems with the suspension even if you lower them. I don't have it done personally but a few people on here have them and I didn't hear any complaints.Selling My Car for cheap. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/854331/2

mine definately made the ride a lot more twitchy as well as feeling every bumb and rut. I know i would hate the ride of 18's with a lowered and stiffened suspension. Thats the only downside i think. Also having big heavy rims will slow acceleration.97 RS
Member Status: F-Body Owner
Member Number: 7705
Registered: September 13, 2005
Posts: 24
Email Address: hfoxx123@yahoo.com
Location: Minnesota
Occupation: Database Administration
Homepage: http://none
Car: uh a camaro

Exactly. 18s are an appearance mod, and you pay a penalty in ride and in handling over anything but a perfectly smooth road.2000 Firebird convert, chameleon/tan, M5, Y87, TCS, BMR tower brace and panhard, KBDD sfcs, 245/50-16 GSCs
