That's not what I'm asking about. The anti-rattle are inside the caliper.

Your talking about the finger like prongs that go into the calipers piston, I assume.

Did they do away with the clip after 97?

No - i recieved no H shaped clip with my pads nor was there one in there with the old ones. Is this clip springy to help push the pads apart and reduce vibrations?

It's the anti-rattle - and I have found you only get it if you buy a pad kit at a dealer - or can get a salvage yard to sell you some.

I got a salvage yard to sell me them. Didn't realize I was missing them until I get the parts manual diagrams - long after I did my drum-to-disc upgrade.

When I did my C5 caliper upgrade to the front - got the GM pad kit which came with anti-rattle, bolts, etc - stuff you NEVER get with aftermarket pads which should be replaced.

you should also be able to get some type of a brake parts kit with those clips in them.. i know iv done that before, instead of getting another set of brakes
