dont know why u would want to drift- i actually enjoy watching it but on the streets is wreckless and if your not rich or sponsered its costly flying through tires like that. but as long as u got the hp/torque its doable with a stock suspension but your gunna have a hard time with an auto.

Do in parking lots after its rained, save your tires and can be done with an auto. DON'T ever drift on a hill, heh heh.

i used to do it on long corners, but since i put nice tires on, it wont happen. i was able to do it wet or dry, now only wet, and its still hard to do with the 295's.
295/35/18's + low hp V6 = to much grip and to little hp

Snow/rain or both my be ur only ally in ur search for drifting... Works for me at my works parking lot. Be careful though, do not just let off the gas suddenly, u have to pull through with it

Here in Canada this time of the year (winter) everyday that I drive to work is an exercise in skid control and drifting. It's alot of fun with little or no wear on the car or tires (except maybe the anti-lock brakes).

it can be done, but i wouldnt reccomend it on a stock suspension. ive done it in an empty parking lot many times, but in my friends 98 camaro with stock suspension it really loses traction and the power steering gives out and you lose control of it. if you have some upgrades its worth a try if you really want to. but like everyone else suggested, just dont do it on the streets. and BE CAREFUL.

It can be done, it's a lot of fun.. but ya need a lot of room to do it. ;)

Swaybars, shocks, springs... but yes, it can be done.

Actually, before all that, get an LSD if you don't already have one... I had lots of fun kicking my tail out to the right (left turn), but I could only get it out to the left on wet surfaces and low speeds.

As they've said, DON'T DO IT IN THE STREETS. I was dumb enough, but I lost it a few times and was lucky to not be killed at least once (spinning into the other lane, usually busy, but empty at the moment). Because of that, running off once, and replacing my cheap Cooper Cobra with freaking expensive Eagle F1s, I quit. It's not worth the risk. At the very least, use an empty parking lot... I used to do donuts at work (Winn-Dixie at the time) when I got off late...

ok...its fun,but not reccomended with stock suspension,i attempted it on empy back roads and needless to say..hit tree cuz of the body roll, the damage wasnt alot, just a back bumper, but still..i feel like a mother saying this..BE CAREFUL! dont do anything stupid

I thought it handled fairly well... even with those ****ty Cobras, as long as I didn't get too happy with the throttle, I could carry a nice drift... we're losing control because we're inexperienced...

i drifted with my camaro.. same difference.

some idiot had to yield to me, and the idiot didnt want to stop, and he floored it, and so did i, i was in 2nd gear, and i smashed it into 3rd, the tires broke loose, and i drifted around the corner.

the guy was looking at me with the wierdest look, but i was driftin it.
