Wierd noise coming from steering

Hey guys on my 00 firebird y87 im hearing a dragging noise either coming from steering or suspension. It is random but very annoying and only happens at either a dead stop or slow speeds like under 10 MPH in either left or right direction. Sounds like tires os something is dragging then goed away when i center the steering wheel. I jacked up front end and cannot replicate the noise.

Might be power steering pump is going bad. Theres more load on it when the tires are on the ground.

hmm i might flush out my fluid this weekend and check. But i would think that if the pump is bad it would be making noises all the time and it does not sound like a pump noise i know how that sounds like. Its during when turning the steering wheel left or right..say to a complete turn but either at a dead stop or like under 10 MPH

Sounds like power steering to me.

I'll flush fluid since i have no idea how long its been in and report back. Also what fluid is needed?

Just power steeriing fluid.

Ok. I figured to ask because my mustang and mountaineer both uses ATF fluid for power steering.

That is true some use ATF fluid.
