I would not go with wider than 9.5" up front unless the wheel manufacturer guarantees they will fit.

What wheels are you planning on using anyway? I assume these are 17" by your sizes listed. The offset is going to determine if there is any "massaging" of the wheel well required to prevent rubbing those 315's.

These going on a Camaro or Firebird?

If Firebird I'd recommend getting the AFS replica 17x9.5 +38 and 17x11 +36.5 set. These are the 84-87 Corvette offset but they fit the Firebird so nice... they come right out to the edge of the fender lip and this way you don't have to worry about any problems at all with rubbing on the inside, even if you lower the car.

If you have a Camaro and want to run that offset you have to roll the fenders in the rear.

For Fbody the +50 offset normally requires some beating of the inner wheel well, especially if the car has been lowered. An adjustable panhard rod helps in this case as you can recenter the rear.

I don't think the +50 normally requires rolling the fenders although Shapiro did on his. The other offset +36.5 would certainly require it, although again on the Pontiacs I believe you can get away without it due to the exaggerated fenders. I have heard of some people doing their Camaro's themselves with a baseball bat against the top of the wheel while rolling the car forward, literally "rolling" the fender lip out, although you have to be careful so as not to crack the paint.
