Mkay, so this year I want to solve my steering problem. My car tracks to every little groove in the road. It really pulls the steering wheel. Could a failing pump or bad seals on the rack make this amplified?
Oh I've gotten a couple alignments done also to no avail.

Stock size tires? When I went from standard to SS rims tires I had this happen, always chalked it up to having a better tire.
I've got 17in wheels with nittos.. I can't remember the exact size but they're definitely bigger. However it was doing this before I put those on with standard sized tires. The bigger tires did make it worse but it's doing it enough now to make me worry that it's a safety issue.
Jack the car up so the fronts are off the ground. Grab the tire/rim on the top and the bottem at the same time and attemt to wiggle the wheel in and out, like trying to tip a tv over. I know really odd comparioson but the best i could come up with. Like trying to change the camber of the tire. It should have no movment. If you do thats a problem.
Moog bushings for your lower A arm, and for the upper A Arm, might as well do your tie end rods too since you'll have them exposed. After that you'll have a new front end.

Got a good website to order bushings from? I think I should go ahead and replace them anyways.. I doubt they've ever been changed and I'm around 70-80k
Yes, it would be a good time to change them, lower A Arm can be tricky , but just take your time and you'll be fine. You'll love the difference after your done.

Shoulda changed the damn things when I did my K-member swap. I'm not looking forward to pulling those off again. I would just swap the whole Lower arms with some tubes but cash is strapped right now so I'm only maintaining and not modding.
Thanks guys. I'll probably be back with more questions.

That is exactly what I was thinking. I however cannot get any movement out of the front with the TV tipping method lol. I never have, so I don't know what the hell is up. I'll replace everything regardless. I think I might clean up those arms and paint em while they're off.
i remember when i first got 275 ss wheels/tires. man, it was a drastic difference in ride.... now its lowered, and has other suspensions mods.so far away from the nice ride it used to have.
but back to topic. have u checked tie rod ends? you'd grab both the left and the right side of the tire "like it was a tv" and u were trying to change the direction its facing... would definitely cause the same problem. don't buy from autozone.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
