Because he's not just a vendor with order taking clerks.
He has freely shared his time and expertise with many of us who have called him (on your nickel, not on his 800 order line), and maintains a bulletin board on his site where he personally responds. He's a resource who deserves to be supported. A few bucks more or less is irrelevant.

If the "few bucks" are irrelevant, would you pay pal me the extra money? Since it is irrelevant and all? Argue with V6bob all I want about the best sway bar pairing, he nailed it on Sam's value. Sam Strano is one of the few who seems to completely understand F-body handling and is always willing to share info, take into consideration your goals for your car, and will send you elsewhere if it makes more sense than buying from him.
I've spent at least $1500 at his shop, and even if I could've saved some money by going elsewhere, the 2 hours we've spent on the phone discussing setups ensured that my car is acting exactly as I expected and wanted it to. There's no price tag on getting things right the first time by getting good advice.
Who knows, if he sees more people from here buying from him, he might end up here. He already sponsors the other F-body boards I'm on..
