Enjoy guys, check out how cheap this stuff really is!!!
No that isn't, I didn't feel it was necessary for a good "suspension".
IMO all a stiffer trans mount does is transfer more shock to the cabin and through the driveline... Unless you're breaking stock trans mounts, I don't see the point in upgrading.

I actually have a broken transmission mount now. I was going to go get it replaced under warranty with the factory part, but is there a better one I can buy? Anyone got a part number?
yes you can buy a 1le tranny mount on but it will drop your tranny a little bit. at least it did mine it is about .5 inches shorter. it did cause a problem with my stock shifter hitting the part of the console that surrounds the shifter so I just put a B&M billet plus in and that took care of the shifter problem but there is a difference in the way the car takes off and such... it's really hard to explain but there is a difference. IMO just get them to replace the mount under warranty. If you are buying a mount yourself, go with 1le from slp because if you have to buy the stock mount from GM it's like 60 bucks or at least that's what I was quoted at the dealer..

If all else fails use a bigger hammer!
Be careful putting a 1LE tranny mount on, if it's significantly stiffer than the stock one. With matched (bushing-wise) engine and tranny mounts, they both move around the same. If you use a harder tranny mount with the stock engine mounts, the two will move around differently, and that can cause stress problems on both. I don't know exactly how much of a difference in the hardness of the bushings is required before it becomes a concern, but it's something to look into first.
If you have the time and money, and are a real glutten for punishment, you can replace both the engine and tranny mounts, so they stay matched, and you won't have to worry about it .

Card, could you email me the total price on all that stuff? On my comp all i get for that image is a blank pic, and apparently that's the most relevant info. scottyboy54@hotmail.com thanks!
1lE tranny mount is nice, makes the car feel alot more connected without the vibration. I doubt its to harsh for the car, it was a GM option on z28s. Its an easy install, jsut remeber to put it the same way the one comes out.
I got a .2 of a second increase over my stock cracked one.
Mine was $30 shipped form www.gmpartsdirect.com I have heard to many problems with SLP ordering, so I refuse to go there until I have to.
I am glad to hear good things about the 1le tranny mount... Mine is on the way, damn you are right mustangEater SLP takes forever!! I ordered it Feb. 27th and the UPS tracking system says I should get it on march 14  That's over two weeks, when their add says they will have it to you in 7-10 days.

took me 3 days to get my tranny mount and the mail around orlando blows, I get everything slow. I hear way to many people getting crappy stuff, mainly the takeoff stuff, and shipping problems.
i need some opinions, what do people think of those take off panhard bars that have the metal rods welded to them and they are powdered coated black. they have polyutherine bushing in them they are at slp???
