Yesterday I set up an appointment with Mr. Tire for a new set of the V rated Yoko's. Shortly after I blew one of my Eagle GA's so these Yoko's are going on no question. Has anyone had these tires and if so how'd they handle compared to the GA's I would be interested to know. Thanks.

Which yokohama tire is it exactly you are interested in? I'd highly reccomend the W rated 245/50-16 Yokohama AVS ES-100's. It's a great tire! Held up really well at a Texas World Speedway track weekend - I even liked them just as much as the 275/40-17 Nitto NT-555RII track compounds I also ran during that weekend!

I wouldn't even consider the V4S's unless you just care about saving $2 a tire and having a higher tread rating than the ES-100's (but at the expense of worse handling and performance.)

I believe Goodyear Eagle RH's came with my Camaro...and they weren't too bad for Goodyear tires (and I don't like Goodyear tires at all!). The Yokohama ES-100s are soo much better though! :D

AVS ES100's arent too bad a tire. If you want to know how they are going to compare to the GA's, well they are going to kick their ***. If I remember right, the stock Eagle GA tire was a T rated tire. Either that or H. So Yeah a V rated tire that is a yokohama is going to be better.
