  • Rear Control Arm Relocation Brackets.

I recently noticed through Jegs that there are some relocation brackets for the rear lower control arms. I was wondering if anyone has used these? If so, how are they? Are they recommeded or am I better finding some other kit?

I think I have BMR's ,they work well if your having wheel hop.

They completely solved my wheel hop issue. I put 17" 255's on the back and encountered horrible wheel hop. You got shook out of the seat. I replaced the stock decrapons with KYB gasajusts and it didnt do anything. I replaced the rotted bump stops to prevent the wheels from hitting the fender lip, fabricated up a set of LCA relocation brackets and put energy suspension poly LCA bushings in. Dont know if it mattered but I had to take the arms half of anyway.

The arm relocs are great if they are running downwards, the axle side should be the low side, not the body side. The arm should be paralell to the ground or at a slight uphill angle.

If you dont have wheelhop you dont need them.

Thanks. That was what I was hoping. I do have wheelhop, especially in wet weather. I also plan to put on polygraphite bushings with the stock rear arms (don't need anything too fancy on a V6), as well as getting some subframe connectors put on also (getting the weld-on type for both).

Founders Performance also makes these brackets for cheap. I have UMI brackets and love them, but I'm lowered so I kinda needed the brackets. I would not suggest the weld-in kind, if for whatever reason you do end up breaking your rear you can just unbolt the brackets and move them over to a new rear. With the relocation brackets you wont notice the brackets moving being bolt in. With SFC's I plan on welding mine in, I just bolted them in for initial installation and have been happy with them since, so haven't gotten them welded.

And with the LCA bushings, I would get Moog or 1LE bushings. You say you dont "need anything too fancy on a V6," but my suspension is pretty much fully built and I autox with it and keep up with the v8 cars. These cars can be a blast when setup properly.

ES poly bushings are acceptable on stock LCA.

I have been taught not to run poly on lca's due to binding potential. Now, with that being said i do run umi lca's with poly bushings. Lol. I think as long as they are greased properly it isn't a big deal.

I run poly on everything and no problems.

The poly bushings will not cause anything to bind. If you take the arm off you can grab each side of the arm and twist it. The arms are super flimsy. If you have boxed or aftermarket arms there might be binding but if your stock arms are binding something is seriously messed up with your suspension.

if all you are doing is drag racing ie driving in a straight line, poly is fine. anything else ploy is a no no
