I got them for my DD 2k Camaro, don't get me wrong, with some z28 sway bars and poly bushings, and gabriel shocks car was ALOT better then the factory setup with 100k miles on it.
But my problem is I somehow stripped a nut out on my front right shock, causing it to pull out.
I cleaned up the threads with a die, then put a stainless steel nut on it, and then doubled up on it to increase the surface area...
4 months later....
My car is sitting in the garage right now as I type this after hitting a bump.
Its not supposed to look like that. Either way I am going to take it out bring it to autozone, see their response, if they don't give me a free one, I will drop it on their counter and inform them I will never shop at Autozone again(they have alwaysed sucked) and I have good local alternatives.
Holy cow, now you got some work ahead of you.

How in the hell did you get that bolt tweeked so bad it came out like that?!
Oh btw, I installed the front shocks saturday. KYB gr2's. Everything went pretty damn smooth considering I used all handtools. The only power tool I used was a metabo to cut the shock bolt/nut from the upper mount.
Just from installing front shocks everything about the drive has improved. They were really worn.. Gas mileage even seems to have improved, less effort shifting weight to get the power where it needs to go I'm guessing. I'm super happy to drive this car again.
I'm doing the rears this week, even though I installed rear gabriels like 2-3 months ago they're already worn.. Gabriels are really pieces of crap. And some tubular rear control arms I have sitting around in my garage. Should be pretty solid for this winter.
Biggest advantage I ever found to new shocks is braking.
few months ago, the retaining nuts on the top stripped out. I took the shock out and cleaned up the threads and double nutted it. I am assuming ****ty metal on the threads.
Either way I was driving on a dirt road, hit a bump hard and that happened., looks like it ripped out and slipped out the hole, and well that is what I am left with.
BTW to top it off... My "lifetime warranty" was not inputed, so I had to buy another one. The guy made sure to get my info in case I have a problem again they will replace it.
If I hae another issue, the last thing I will do is put another shock in it.
