  • Turning the rotors?

about 8-10 months ago i got some autozone rotors on the car.. they are warped in one place on the rotor. i can feel where they are actaully warped when i brake. would turning the rotor take care of these warped spots??

    thanks

Turning the rotors should help as long as there is enough material to turn (you can only turn rotors down to a specified minimum thickness). If you get the rotors turned, you really should change the pads at the same time.

Any rotor which comes out of the box warped, is a poorly made rotor. Good rotors which I've used never come out of the box warped and never need turning when new. You can turn your AZ rotors, but it probably wont fix it forever. FirebirdGT is right.

they didnt come out of the box warped. they were good. i think a poorly torqued lug after a dissappointing trip to the track did this.

anyways i guess i will have them turned. my pads have tons of life left so i will just turn rotors and be done with it
