  • 1LE vs. Stock Panhard Bar: Is there a visible difference?

    Guys,
On my lunch break today I drove by my Chevy parts dealer to see if they stocked the 1LE components. The guy behind the counter found two different panhard bar models labeled ride and comfort & heavy duty (1LE?). So I asked if I could look at both of them.

The only difference I noticed between them was the part number 10262417 stamped on to the Heavy Duty one. The rubber bushings on both felt the same and had the same part number stamped into them so I got kind of suspicious. Also, I didn't know the part number off hand but now I do.

So is there any visible clue other than the part number to tell me they're different?

Rubber bushings on 1LE are harder.

...but does it make sense that the bushings on both would have the same number stamped into them?

I guess I should just go buy the thing and try it out. It does have the correct part number...

Well as you can see there are more then 1 1LE sway bars out there so I don't doubt that GM is dumb.
