• Dropin' the car 3 inches?

Hey everyone. I was wandering how i could possibly drop my car 3 inches? I want to put either 19 inch back rims and 18 inch front, or 18 inch back and 17 front. So if i cant drop it 3 inches then i wont but if there is anyway i can and keep them rims then i want too.

My friend has done it. So it's doable. I don't know the specifics myself.

18" wheels in the rear with a 3" drop in the rear is cutting it close. It depends on the offset of the wheel. My car dropped 2.5" in the rear and I have 18s and they scrape when hitting dips, but I have a negative(deepdish)offset on my wheels. 3" drop in the front is too much. You're gonna scrape.

Yeah but how little is the tire? Im getting some tires that come like an inch off the wheel tall. that makes a big difference too.

I think 3 inches with 18's in the front no matter HOW low profile it is, is cutting it close. MY cousin had a 97 Z28 with 18s in the front.. he dropped it an inch and a half and they STILL rubbed the insides of the fenders when going over bumps and waves in the road. Id put the 17'son the front and 18's in the back THEN drop it 3' i think that would work BEST for you.

I running 255-35-18 kumho tires. Jason, my tires don't rub at all in the front. My car dropped 1.5-1.75" in front and 2.5" in the rear. I also have subs in the rear. My rear tires rubs when hitting dips though. That's because of the NEGATIVE offset of the wheel. I put my factory 16s back on and they don't rub at all front or rear. My factory wheels have a POSITIVE offset. Also, my factory wheels with tires are about an inch taller than my 18s with tires. The biggest concern is finding out the offset of the type of wheel you're getting.
