• grinding noise under moderate braking

I am currently experiencing this problem:

    Topic: deep grinding noise

However it happens at any speed whenever I need to brake moderatly or more. Just curious if anyone found what was causing the problem and/or what the solution was. Thank guys!

Did you try what they suggested? The brakes are designed to screech when they are almost gone to warn you.

It sounds like the brake pads. The last time I had my car in for service, the guy said that my brakes were almost worn out so as soon as they started to make a grinding noise to bring it back. If your car is still under warranty, then it shouldn't cost you anything, but than if you do it yourself it it wouldn't cost you anything either.

Thanks for the replys. If it is the pads, the only thing that kinda upsets me is the fact that I had new powerslots and performance friction pads installed only 6 months ago. I know the slotted disks tend to destroy pads faster than usual, but would my brakes wear that quickly?

        thanks
