Has anyone used these brakes on the street? It is their street/strip version.

I'm sick of our brakes, and I don't want to add weight going with a big brake kit.

I hear that you can also drop about 26lbs off the front end with these, which is huge because it is both unsprung weight and rotational weight.

Ya but theyre a light weight brake that is inbetween what we have and a race brake right, so that includes new calipers, pads and rotors right...

If you were doing the big brake conversion I guess you would be spending that and more plus more weight so I guess it would be worth it for the price and weight savings.

Those almost look like a drag race style setup to me.

Camaro brakes really arent a bad setup at all.

I cant remember what kind of brakes 96s came with. But if you are looking for an upgrade I would try a c5/c6 setup from Kore3

I want lightweight though. I don't want to go heavier and eat up more power with rotational mass

They have the SAME kit p/n for both 93-97 and 98+. Can't be. The spindles are different. The rotor size stated is a 98+ rotor.

To install the brakes you need to modify the spindle, either the same as you would to install 98 brakes, or maybe a touch more.

I'm just sick of these sticking brakes. I just bought brand new calipers from autozone last year and the pistons are seizing in them. I can see the burn marks on the rotors now. The tires have never freewheeled, which also annoys me.

Other than that, I'm not not happy with the way my car brakes. I deleted abs and have a prop valve and my braking if I had to guess is 60/40 or 65/35 and stops great. I don't see a need for a big brake upgrade, so since I need to do something about the stick calipers anyways, I'm debating maybe going to a 98+ brake now, or going aerospace.
