I have to get some new tires... these stock Goodyear tires on the Camaro just plain blow. Not only do they wear down after only a few burnouts, but they're horrible in wet conditions. But anyways, these are the tires I'm lookin at:
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW
Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position
Kumho ECSTA Supra 712
My main concerns are wet driving and tread wear. Which do you think would be best out of those?
You got the super expensive all the way down to the inexpensive in there. So I guess you don't have a price range. Firehawks and Potenza 730s are my fav.
#1 - Dont buy Eagle GAs
#2 - Dont buy Michelins
#3 - Dont buy Eagle HPs
Im trading my HPs for RE950s (bridgestone), 40,000mile warranty, H rated, almost the top tire on tirerack, P245/50 and are directional. Guaranteed 30day testride and if you dislike em your money is refunded...
Im gonna try some, Im sick of sliding on brand new HPs.
I hear the Kumhos are good but the 950s arent much more and look to be better...

buy the firehawks if you got the money for them. They are the best tires on the marekt for our cars. They also have the highest rating at tirerack.com, go check for yourself.
Ok The BFGoodrich GForces are the newest thing in nice tires. They have probably double the treadwear of the others, and a great tracton rating (At least in 275/40 17s). They are the best listed but, the priciest. I have Kumhos on my car that ate through michelins like butter, and I couldn't be happier with them. The general rule is the higher the traction, the lower the treadwear, with some execptions (GForce). Any tire will last if you keep the correct air in them and rotate them every 5-6K. (I experimented with air pressure with the stock tire size. 35 is the best for wear. On the 275/40ZR17s 40 is the best so far.) Get the Kumhos unless your rich!
