  • Braking at High Speeds Question

    Hey,
WHen I hit the brakes, even very slightly at high speeds like at around 70-80 mph, my car seems to vibrate. ANyone else have this issue? And what can I do about it?

sounds like warped rotors to me, get new ones or get them resurfaced

Yeah, just turn your rotors, If its warped too much them get some new ones, Autozone will turn them if you pull them off.

Go in to firestone ask for their free brake inspection and they will tell you what is wrong and then will turn your rotors for about 10-15 bucks. Or just buy new ones for few bucks more.
To speed or not to speed that is the question.

On 98+ cars with the larger discs. The stock discs have problems.

One possible cause is uneven tightening of wheel lugs. You need to use a torque wrench.
