plz dont flame me im sure this question is asked alot, but i did do a search and didnt find the results i was really looking for
    but anyhow here goes
i just ordered a set of MAC lowering springs for my car, and will cut about 1/2 inch off the back, but my real question is what suspension parts would be best for a drag setup while still being able to hold its own with the autocross crowd?
i know thats really asking for the best of both worlds but thats really what im looking for with my car
so if anyone has any suggestions for sfcs, lcas, etc which would do both jobs effectively please let me know

Sorry can't have both be the "best". Suspension setup to achieve the "best" is different. You'll need to compromise both, or pick one or the other.

FirebirdGT thats why i said i want the best of both worlds, i want to be able to perform well in both fields instead of having just good drag qualities or just good auto-x
does anyone know the best brand/style to buy? im thinking for the price 1LE looks pretty good and from what ive heard unless your hardcore racing its fairly well built, as im not doing any hardcore racing just the ocasional trip to the drag strips and an occasional run around some corners at the local auto-x track
anywhoo let me know of anything
          thanks

Here is a list that won't hurt you in either.

            1.Rod ended LCAs.
            2.Shocks, esp adjustables

Yes the list is short. Subframes will help alot in autox, but they add weight in drag racing. Sway bars will help alot in autox, and what you can do it simply take them off when drag racing. So that's a safe buy. If you lower the car, forget drag racing. Autox you want hard sidewall tires, drag you want soft sidewall. STB, good if you have SFC, adds weight in drag, but you can remove it for drag so another safe buy. Gears are good for both. Converter is good for both. Brake cooling, trans cooler, etc. Good for autox. Break pads made for autox are a must. Don't drive with oem ones, you will destroy them. I guess that's most of it.

              Well put Dom.

As I said, if you try to do both you'll need to comprimise on both.

I'm putting my efforts into handling, so my 1/4 mile times will be slower.

yeah i understand totally there will be a comprimise, im just looking for a happy medium, because as my car is setup now its not good for either one...
i just want to build up the suspension so it can handle better, lowring springs are already on their way so that will be taken care of shortly, its just beefing up the suspension to make it more rigid and handle better as well as put the power to the ground more effectively, thats what im looking for, i dont want to have the fastest drag car out there, because i dont have the money, and for autocross, i dont have the skill to be the fastest, its just a happy medium i want to obtain so that i can hang with either one
