I ask because I just got a used 01 bird and the spare and jack are missing. the 10 dollar one on ebay is much more tempting than the 60 dollar one from gm.

It should be identical, but the jack isnt going to be the same. The other choice you have is to invest in runflat tires 2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

All the 3rd gen spares I've seen are a different type of convienence spare and have a can of compressed air to fill it up...seems strange to me.Wayne<br />94 5 spd Camaro<br />Turbo/Intercooled<br /> <a href=\"http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm</a> <br /><br />Megasquirt Stand-alone EFI controling fuel/spark w/ wideband:<br /> <a href=\"http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html</a>

It might work but remember most 3rd gens had 15's while all 4th gens have 16's! Also try a junk yard that crap is always cheap! I have 2 '84's.
That's an '84 CAMARO, and an'84 FIREBIRD.
The standard models came with the little donut spares. My cars both have optional POSI' rear(that's LSD). The POSI' option came with a compact inflatable spare and a cylinder of compressed air because you don't want to run a POSI' with two different size tires.2002 CAMARO \"RS\"<br /> 3800/M5/Y87

I would try to test it out first...
I know a set of 14 in. stocker wheels off my 85 camaro scraped teh fornt rotros on my 94...
might have similar problems with spare, or no problems at all...
Call a junkyard, I did like the third gen ratchet jack better even if it is more unsafe, then a screw style one

Same here for my 87 bird - simple compact spare. Don't know if it was the same as my 4th gen's spare.
