I had this noise when the car was almost new. The dealer lubed the sway bar bushings (not the end links) and that did not help so they just told me they all do that. When new, this noise happened at temps below 60 and the colder it got, the louder it got. So that's why I think its something rubber....Also, it is more pronounced when making turns, on the side where the wheel turns outboard. For example, when making a left turn the left wheel is pointed outboard and that one makes more noise, but when turning right it is the other one. when I press down on the shock mount under the hood I can hear it and it SOUNDS like its coming from the spring/shock tower but noise travels sometimes. My guess was something at the top of the shock/spring. But maybe the sway bar end links???
Now that the car is much older (miles) it is still annoying and i wish i could fix it. But now, I hear this noise even at 70 degree temps.
Has anyone had this?
