  • dustless brake pads?

I have Ceramix Pads on my car now because I don't like brake dust. What other brand(s) out there claim the same results as Ceramix? I'll be needing new pads soon, and I was wondering which brand to try next.

    Thanx,
    Marc

heh...they are dust free, to a point, but do they work as good?...I know my dad had some on a car once and ripped them off the next week, they just didnt seem to latch on as well....but I guess you get what you need....you get alot of brake dust but good braking, less brake dust, poorer braking...its all relevant...

I had the Ceramix on for about 1 1/2 years now, and no problems whatsoever. I was just thinking that there may be more competition out there for cheaper dustless brake pads. Ceramix and Red/GreenStuff Pads are a bit expensive, but I believe they are worth it when it comes to blakened rims. I had No trouble with performance, and No trouble with brake dust. They are still in good condition too, but I would like to have another set around for when I'll need them. I was looking for good deals that someone may have known about.

honesltly I have hawk performance friction... they give off some dust but nothign serious... Probable no dust for 2-3 weeks autocross and hard running of the car, without washing it. My old pads woudl get the rims dirty drving aorund the block drying off my rims jsut trying to dry the car off.

I had Hawks's Performance Pads on too, but I thought they gave too much brake dust off. Not as much as the stock pads, but still too much for my taste.

Mine give off insane brake dust as well

As soon as I get my T/A take off chrome rims I will be putting on some better ones.

The best pads I've found are the EBC Green Stuff pads and KVR's carbon fibre pads. They both work great with little to no dust at all.

what about kevlar.. I hear they're good for dustless and braking. And they're strong so they last a while.

So far, I have only seen Greenstuff Pads for the 98+ f-body, not the 93-97. I haven't found a website yet for KVR and Kevlar. If anyone has info, please post it.
