• Question about BMR STB install......

I got the BMR STB for Christmas and installed it this morning. To do the install i had to disconnect the AC sensor. No big deal. STB went on with no problem. But where the AC sensor hooks into the line is right behind the bar. It will not connect behind or in front of the STB (STB is on now, AC sensor is not). Anyone else have this problem? Have a fix?
Right now its no big deal, i just left the sensor off; but i need to get it back on before it warms back up around here. TIA

Since its a 3.4 I can only assume you ended up with a V8 bar... what is the shape of the bar?

WOW!!!! I thought I was the only one that had that problem installing my STB! I called up BMR and they said, "We've never had any V6 guy tell us this problem"

OK, had the same problem. This is what you do: you need to actually BEND the metal A/C tube (BMR told me to do this). Just take your thumbs and push the line in towards the engine until the A/C sensor can clear. It will not damage the A/C unit, mine still works. Make sure you bend the tube, don't kink it.

Bending the tube is HARD! It can be done, don't get discouraged. Do it with your hands; with a tool of some sort, you may **** up the line somehow.

Good luck

EDIT: And yes, I have the V6 bar, not the V8 one

I just bent the line and it worked great! Took all of about 20 minutes. Sensor is back on and AC works just fine.

Thanks a lot V6Bird and SixVi6-Camaro for the info and the pic!

edit: I love this board. :D
