  • Car sits uneven....

..a full 3/4'' lower on the driver side than the passenger. This is measured from the ground, past the centerline of the rear wheels, up to the fender. If the car sits on level ground, the lean is really obvious. The difference is not as noticeable at the front as it is at the rear either (about 1/4''). I've been trying to figure out the cause forever and I'm finally out of ideas. It leaned when the suspension was all stock, and still leans with Hotchkis springs, Bilstein shocks, 1LE sways, BMR LCAs and a BMR adj. track bar.

I guess I could make a spacer to sit on top of the rear spring between the rubber boot and the body. Any other ideas?

that odd. a spacer might work. it sat uneven when it was stock? . do you carry passengers alot? some cars tend to lean to the side of the driver b/c no one ever rides in the passenger seat so the car always leans.

most f-bodies lean to the passenger side, not the driver side. i'm not sure why it would lean the other way... mine's the opposite of yours and leans to the passenger side. usually when i'm in the car it levels out pretty well. make sure the rear springs are in correctly. maybe one of the springs isn't lined up in the pocket right.

No noises or anything from the rear other than some squeaky poly bushings and an exhaust rattle. Everytime I put something new in the suspension I hoped it would get corrected, but each time I got hosed. I really can't see any reason for this.

The car is 106,000 miles old, but the oldest part in the rear suspension has only 25k (1LE bar).

Was the car jacked up or on the ground when you torqued the bolts on the LCAs. You need to have the car in its normal position when you torque the bolts so you don't preload the bushings.
                    Just a thought...
