I'm getting rims that are 18x8. what is the widest tire I can put on? Im thinking 255 40 or 265 40 front/rear. What do you guys recommend.

What I got you got to get and put it in you. -
You can probably run a wide tire like that on an 8" width wheel.... but... The sidewalls will be pulled in at the bead, and it will tend to make the tread surface rounded, so you will probably get less traction.

production rims, 275 come on my car stock, 9" rim (*but 17"*)
My dads 18by8's are 245's
