I got raped last time i got tires so im going to try out this TireRack.com for my next set.. i have 18" rims that are 9.5" wide, my question is, what size tires would look the best and what ratings do i want? load capacity and all that crap, i dont want to be ridding on truck tires or anything... or maybe i do... but anyways, i just want some nice gripping street tires... whats the right rating, and i seldom exceed speeds of 90mph... thanks

just bought locally from discount tire and i was shocked that i paid almost the same amount for tires as i did my rims... i need to knock a few hundred off of the price but maybe thats just the way things are... i may sell my rims for some smaller sizes for cheaper tires... well see..-Hawk<br /><br />===================================<br />Black 2001 Pontiac Firebird<br />Automatic Transmission Street Bird<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/550453\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/550453</a> <br /><br />\"Live like you were Dying\"

try a 275/40ZR18 tire. Probably a little cheaper, and most definatly more availibility. Because that is the tire size on the rear of the C5 vettes. Good luck. ;)Jordan<br />15.09@90.7<br /><a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=21\" target=\"_blank\"><b>1995 Camaro 3.4 M5</b></a>

The correct tire size for 18x9.5 rims to maintain overall diameter should be 275/35R18. Tires in this size are a good bit more expensive than other sizes that fit the Fbody. Tire Rack has the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 for $167 each. If you live somewhere it gets cold, the Kumho ECSTA ASX at $173 makes a good all-season alternative.
A 245/40R18 or 275/40R17 are both available starting at a little over a hundred, but you'd need to change rim size.1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>
