275/50z/17
thats what you need.
you can go 285 also if you want a little bit more rubber. This may cause tire rub on some serious G's. I got subframes to fix that :DRed 1999 Firebird M5
Whisper Lid,Borla Catback,K&N,Dual Friction Center Force Clutch,Hurst Shifter w/Lou\'s Short Stick,!FRA,Suncoast Ramair hood,160 Thermo,!maf,Chrome ZO6 Wheels, Painted Calipers, CIA Headers, Taylor Wires, NGK Spark Plugs, 3\" Catco, Jet Chip Stage II, BMR STB, LCA, PHR, SFC, Fan Switch, FTRA
Old Dyno Numbers: 183 RWHP, 217 RWTRQ
http://community.webshots.com/user/redsixer

I just went today to get 275/40 17's on my TT 2's but the tires in the front rub when you turn the wheel. They said that I needed to get 255/40 17's. I think they look kinda small though.2001 3.8L Firebird M5
Flowmaster 80 series,exhaust cutout,catco hi-flow cat,tbyrne WRA,whisper lid,K&N filter,BMR LCA\'s,Ram air H.O. hood,3.73 gears with LSD 17\" by 9 1/2\" TT2\'s
Rockford 300s with 2 12\" JL audio W3v2 subs and JVC HU

255/40x17 is too small.
I've got 245/45x17 on 9.5" ZR-1's, and they're a little too narrow for this wheel, but good overall size. Next time I think I'm gonna go up just a little, maybe 255/45x17.2002 CAMARO \"RS\"
3800/M5/Y87

When I went to buy tires, I asked for 275s and such for 17x9.5s, and the guy behind the counter said, "That's too much tire, go with..." and he gave me a really small size. I told him 275s are what SSs and WS6s come with stock, and my car is not different (sans engine and crap) than theirs. He replied with, "Well now, I've been selling tires for 15 years now, I think I know what's right and what's not right."
So I bought my Kumho Ecsta Supras from www.tirerack.com --David--
The NEW V6Bird Website!
Cardomain site
ΔX

I ended up getting 255/40 17's on the front, since the 275's rubbed for some reason, and 275/40's on the back. I started out with 255's all the way around but those tires were way too small for the back. It looked like crap, so I told them to put the 275's in the back.2001 3.8L Firebird M5
Flowmaster 80 series,exhaust cutout,catco hi-flow cat,tbyrne WRA,whisper lid,K&N filter,BMR LCA\'s,Ram air H.O. hood,3.73 gears with LSD 17\" by 9 1/2\" TT2\'s
Rockford 300s with 2 12\" JL audio W3v2 subs and JVC HU

275/40-17 all the way around depending on your offset and suspesion you could fit 285/40-17•)))2000 3.8L V6 FIREBIRD (Navy Blue) 5 speed
•Aluminum Alloy 3-piece custom built wheels - 17x10 (front)- 17x11.5 (rear) Tires:Front: 275/40-17 - Rear:315/35-17• Suspension Techniques 1 3/8 \" Solid front Sway Bar• H&R Springs • Koni revalved double adjustable shocks (front)• Bilstien Custom Revalved shocks (rear)• K&N •Magna Flow Dual Exaust• Stock wheels W/Hoosier Road Racing tires • Sound System•
•THE RIDE•
