  • anyone have 275/40 17's on the front

I went to have those put on my car today with my new TT2 17 by 9.5 rims but the tires in the front rubbed when you turned the wheel. Has anyone else had this problem and what size tires do you put on them? I want the same size tires all the way around.

Check your offset. 36MM will not work. 50MM may work. 56MM is most used with wide tires 275 to 315

That's weird, I have 17x9.5 wheels with 275/40R17s, and I have no rubbing whatsoever lock to lock.

It was the rear that rubbed, not front, front seems fine.

I'm not sure what the offset is but most of you say that you have 9" rims. I have 9 1/2" rims. Would that make a difference?

slightly, but the factor is going to be the offset. What rims are they precisely?

Its your offset. Contact whoever sold you the wheel and find out what the offset is. Then take them back and tell them to order your the right crap for your car . ;)
