2002 Camaro
Y87, M5, ASR
At very low speeds, like driving through a parking lot, I sometimes hear a muffled rhythmic "thump, thump, thump,.." coming from the rear that seems to be related to the speed of the car. It's still there if I push the clutch in and the wheels are still turning.
My dealer says they can't find anything wrong and in fact say they can't hear anything because of the sound of my "aftermarket exhaust", a Magnaflow catback. The noise was there before the catback went on BTW.
I've read on another website that one of the complaints about ASR equipped Camaros is the annoying sounds that come from the rear. I'm getting ready to put the thing up on a lift and check out some things myself and I was wondering if anyone else with ASR hears anything like this?
The site I read this on actually says
quote:
Torque sensing differentials make annoying nuisance noises.

, so I guess it could mean the LSD as well?
