  • big gap on rear tires.....

I noticed that on my 94 v6 firebird there is a big gap in the rear. The car is stock and I have made no modifications to it. The gap makes the rear tires look smaller than in the front. Has anyone else noticed this on their car? I am thinking of lowering the rear about an inch or two only to even it up. What do yo guys think?
What I got you got to get and put it in you.

Is it that the rear of the car sits lower than the front?? Then replace your rear springs.

I have about 100lbs of stereo equipment in my trunk, and that lowers my car a little in the rear ;)

If you really, REALLY want to go cheap....just put sandbags in the trunk. Otherwise, lowering springs for you.

another way i have heard of people lowering just the back for free, is to remove the rubber supports at the top of the springs. this will lower just the back slightly, but then metal will be resting on metal.

on a flat parking lot, mine looks higher in the rear. It's got that suped up muscle car look where the front is lower.

Unless you need new shocks or have bodies in your trunk your car should sit higher.

I noticed that if you run for example 245-50-16 on all four corners the front looks right but the rear looks funny! My bird (to me) is built like an hour glass except that in the rear it has a wider angle image. So what I did was throw a set of 265-50-16 and it really gave it the look the car was meant to have, ALL MUSCLE and believe or not I was kind of afraid to look funny but not once has any one said it look silly, on the contrary I have peolple gave me that look you know like "NICE!".
