ok, i want rims with tires, i dont know to much about sizes tho. Ive noticed that 17s or 18s are the most popular rims for the fbody. is there any effect on performance with the rim increase? what would u guys suggest be the best rim specifications? also, how would the tire size correspond to the rim size? thanx guys

camaro performers did a test on wheel sizes to see how they compared. obviously, the larger the wheel, the lower the sidewall, the less flex, and the better grip. however, in the end, they agreed that 17 inch wheels were the best all-around wheel package. i'd get 275/40 17s on a 17x9.5 rim.

it depends on the ride quality that your looking for. mor sidewall soaks up more bumps, but if the suspension is dampened right, u can run small sidewall tires and still have good ride quality. 3.5"-4.5" of sidewall seems to be a good balance of flex for ride quality and stiffness in cornering.
bigger rims are heavier, which is bad. to counteract this, u can get the rims in the size u want forged, which will make them weight the same or less than stock, but this increases price a lot.
