• People who buy from Tirerack ...I gotta questions for yous

Where do you got to get them mounted and balanced, how much do you pay?

If you are buying wheels and tires, they will mount and balance them for you. If you are buying just tires, you can take them anywhere that does tires...they will do them for you.

Im talking tires only.

I took it to a goodyear tire, they wanted $98 bucks to mount and balance.

I took it to a small mom and pop type place they wanted $118

Im willing to pay around 50
I personally have mounted and balanced plenty of tires a couple years ago in HS, and I damn well know its not worth 118. Maybe I will bring it back to my old HS.

sure, bring it to your old HS.

or if you want to get it done for like $40, go to a pep boys, slip one of the dudes standing at the garage $40, and have him do it.

i garuntee they will for $40, then just roll the tire out to you.

Try Costco. They're actually pretty good for tires around here but I've never taken tires I didn't buy there to be mounted, so I don't know for sure that they'll do it. They did a flat repair on the Firebirds stock tires for free. It's the only place I've ever seen tighten the lugnuts using a torque wrench by hand that wasn't air powered.

I went to Carroll's Tire, I don't know if it's local or what but they charged me $50 to mount/balance.
Most of the time if you pay cash they will do it for you without a receipt so they can pocket the money

Do you have a local walmart close by?

I have bought 3 sets of tires in the last 2 months. It cost roughly 40 - 50 dollars for dismount/mount/balance of 4 tires.

I would think that the cost at walmart should be similar no matter what you location is.

I went to the Auto Hobby Shop. I had loose wheels, sothey didn't have to worry about dismount/mounting them from car. $26 to mount 4 tires and balance :D

from what I've heard, they did pretty good properly aligning them w/the valve stem

I just bought some brakes from tire rack yesterday. When yo're checking out, they give you the option to find a local installer to install them (I'm assuming that on tires the same option would be available as well). Maybe if you tried that and went to a tirerack affiliated shop you could get a cheaper price?
