I was wondering how much worse the ride got when going from stock 16" rims to 18"? I figure going to 17" will be a bit harder, so 18" must be even worse. Any one gone to 18" want to share their experience?

its not that it'll get rougher, you'll be able to feel the road more, so if your on a rough road its gonna be worse than with the 16's, and its not the wheels, its the lack of tire, springs, shocks, to absorb the roughness of the road...

did you spend some decent money on tires?
you'll notice more going from 18's back to 16's- \"So you have something to look at when you\'re talking to \'em\" -
http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=296916

I've got 18s. I went with a way different offset (actually, I had no choice with these rims).
My combo is 18x9, +14mm offset (which is wrong), my tires are 245x40x18. Train tracks are definately rough, wheels are harder to spin, despite the thin-ness of the tread.
My stock 17s (ws6 wheels) came with 285x40 Goodyears, they did ride a bit better.

ok i just put my 18s on yesterday and was shocked at the ride. I was expecting it to be horible but it wasnt half as bad as I expected, redbird is right, it didnt really get worse but I can deffinitly feel the road more, but I think it feels better, it feels more solid and doesnt have the soggy, loose type of feeling it had before.-Chris
2001 Pewter Camaro M5
Current Mods: NOS Dry Kit and a few others
N/A: 15.5@88.9MPH
N2O: ???
http://www.cardomain.com/id/jtusa69888

You wouldn't happen to be selling your stock ws6 wheels would you, James?

I test drove a camaro with nice fat 18 inch tires in back only and it did what it was supossed to do. Grip well when going in a straight line and annoy the heck out of you when they hit the well around every turn. God I want those on my new camaro. There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.
