I know that due to the ls1 being heavier than an l36, I cant use z28/TA springs. That being said, can I use shocks that were meant for a Z or TA? I would like to get some used Bilstines this summer when I do my springs.
My gut tells me yes, but my common sense says I better check it out. Thanks
I have as set of z28 take off shocks on mine from SLP and they fit just fine and they even stiffend up the ride a bit and got rid of some of the wheel hop that I had.

Yeah but you're front end will sit higher. Those springs are made for the heavier V8 engine rather than the V6. For the rear it's ok, but I wouldn't do it for the fronts.

The cheapest shock package is the SLP takeoff which are available for a set of 4 for $80 on eBay and a set of springs..trim one coil from the fronts with a cutoff wheel, do not use a torch, and 1 coil from the rear...ride height drops around 3/4 to 1", handling improves and looks too...ps, rear springs are usually the same at 114#..rp
