    If I use these tires will I need to lower my car too? since these are low profile ones

    No, with a 45 sidewall the larger diameter of the rim should make up for the slightly smaller sidewall. A 40 side wall you might consider lowering it.

      If you're on 17x8 rims, you might get a better fit compared to stock with 245/45-17's.

      That's what I'm using here, some nice choices are available.

        i'm riding on 235/40/17's and i would love to lower my car but i already bottom out on everything even speed bumps. check out my pics to see the wheel gap. you should be fine.
