• Strut Tower Brace/Sub frame connector ?'s

I am wondering if you will notice a difference in how the car handles with a strut tower brace. What kinds have you used and like? Is there one for V6 cars that mounts to the firewall and strut towers?

Also, will you notice difference in handling with subframe connectors? Anyone used the bolt on ones and how difficult are they to install? What's a decent brand?

Probably all asked before...but thanks for your input!

BMR!

bmr's strut tower brace is only a 2 point, but you can feel a difference, and i have weld in tubular subframes, and you will notice a difference with these as well...

Checked out the BMR site and the the strut tower brace says "will not fit 1993-2002" V6. Not sure why but that's what it says.

Not sure where you seen that at but here is what the site says. copy and pasted right from it.
STB002 - 1993-2002 V6 all. 1993-1997 SS - $89.95

The subframe connectors will give you the best bang for the buck.

Good luck!

Just had sub frame connectors welded on, a very noticable difference in the stiffness of the frame. Ordered mine from Hotparts.com. Delivered for about $100.00. The guy said they make them for other distributors who put their name on them and sell them for twice as much. They also have several other parts at great prices. Very good quality.

I have BMR boxed SFCs. Honestly, I can't tell a difference in ride quality or stiffness just driving around.

HOWEVER, when I take hard turns....BIG DIFFERENCE! And thats what makes it worth it to me

I have the BMR tubular subframes on my V8 and love them. I could feel the increased stiffness over bad bumps (less shudder). I also have the BMR strut tower brace, although I didn't feel any difference with or without it. If you want a strut tower brace, I'd go with a nice 3 point unit.

Yep, Same experience here. And for the STB, it makes a difference too, when you yank the wheel left and right you can feel it. It also got rid of this annoying squeak from my HVAC area. My car is squeak and rattle free. Only if I got over messed up roads kinda fast do you hear something, and I think that something is all the crap in my car moving up and around.
If anything get them to control the squeaks and rattles.

any car w/ t-tops will feel a big diff from both the stb and sfc's. I've had the stb for 1 1/2 yrs, and it does help in cornering as well as braking.

Have hotchkis subframe connectors (weld on) and shock tower brace. Each one made a noticable improvement. My car was stiffer and handled better.
