  • Whats different suspension wise between 98 V6 and 98 LS1

Posting this here for a friend on another board.
    --------------------------------------

Specifically shocks? I know the springs are different, but are the rear shocks/front struts different?

Any downside from using the stock LS1 struts/shocks on a V6?

    Thanks.

From the tech database, rears are the same, fronts are different:

Mainly the shock damping needs to match the spring rate. Too soft, and it won't control the spring adequately. Too stiff, and the shock will wear out prematurely from taking on too much of the suspension load and not letting the spring handle it....
