    Sounds like you have a V8 bar, or your V6 bar was made funny. If its the V6 bar, it's supposed to lean back. Checkout the engine photos on my website to see how it fits.

      Yeah, the V8 one is straight, but our V6 one "leans back" to clear the alternator. Unless you mean that the ends of the strut bar don't quite fit onto the bolts on the tower. Then your V6 bar was just made funny I suppose. Some of the new ones are a bit tight at first... you may have to wiggle it or maybe even widen the hole a little bit on the ends.

      ::edit::
      I added some pics of it on my car so you can see what I'm talking about:

      Yes, I know \"Artic\" should be spelled \"Arctic\". Can any of the mods change this?

          If it's the bolts that kinda make it tight on each side, you could try widening the holes on the ends of the bar a little bit. I got my STB used, so the previous owner must've already done the work already if it didn't fit, cause mine went in with a little nudge. I dunno any other suggestions. Good luck with it!

            your not putting it in backwards are you? just had to make sure. ;)

            My BMR went in nice and easy. clearance wasn't a problem and just screwed the bolts in.

              no, im putting it on right, and there isnt enough room to drill the hole out to make it bigger or id run off the side of the strut bar, so i dont know what else i can do to make it fit.

                What I have to do on mine is get one side on, and wiggle the other one on with a friend and a rubber mallet.

                      Hey dmw, i sold you the strut bar and i see ur still havin trouble with it, i bought the bar brand new from thunder racing it is a v6 bar, it fit with no problems on my v6 97 firebird, but maybe while it was on my car it somehow bent or warped the bar just enough to give you the problems ur havin. If anything i will refund ur money, if you can't find a way to get it installed.

                            I have installed many of these STB, I have never seen one not fit correctly, especially after coming off of another car. Unless the car that the STB is being installed onto has been in a wreck.

                              try putting both sides on at the same time, not one side on then the other.

                              Then tighten the bolts down on it.
